Temperatur: 300 F Baking time: 1 hour
1 1/4 cup sugar (280g)
4 egg whites
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 1/2 cup heavy cream (for whipping)
2 cups vanilla custard (homemade is better)
fresh fruits and berries
powdered sugar for sprinkling
Whip the egg whites together with cream of tartar. As they begin to form tops ad in one and one tablespoon of sugar.
Gently whip some vanilla extract into the meringue.
Spread the meringue on to a sheet pan covered with parchment paper. Make either one big or two smaller bottoms. Bake the cake for one hour. Let the cake cool of. Then fill it with vanilla custard topped with whipped cream, or mix vanilla custard and whipped cream together. Spred it over the meringue.
